FAIRY GLEN, SEFTON PARK LIVERPOOL

Sefton Park is a public park first opened in 1872 by Prince Arthur. The park occupies part of a medieval deer park which surrounded the village of Toxteth. The land was purchased in 1864, in 1866 a brief a public competition for the design of the park was awarded to Edouard Andre and Louis Hornblower.

During 2007, Gainsborough Town Centre’s disused iron works saw the site transformed into a mixed retail, leisure and
office development, forming part of a wider regeneration scheme within the town of Gainsborough. Formerly the Britannia Iron Works, Marshalls Yard now sees this once derelict and abandoned site turned into an area of shops, offices and leisure facilities.

375 KENSINGTON HIGH STREET KENSINGTON, LONDON

Located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, 375 Kensington High Street is a flagship development in one of London’s most sought after addresses. At its heart a water feature surrounded by box headed trees and a landscaped central courtyard. The water feature comprises two slate clad rectangular pools with 4 vertical columnar jets in each; each jet projecting vertically and producing a foaming white water column up to 1m in height and approximately 30mm diameter. The exterior of each pool, in keeping with surrounding hand-landscaping features, is formed from limestone procured from Spain.

INTERACTIVE WATER PLAY AREA INGS ROAD, HULL

The layout has been designed to provide two separate functions, the first is to act as a basic paddling pool similar to the original split level paddling pool it replaced, filtered water is introduced into the upper pool area, and then flows through the upper pool and weirs over a raised section dissected by a small island, the water flow then runs into the lower pool area, flowing through the lower pool and over a weir edge into a collection channel covered by a pool grating. This then runs into a below ground holding tank were it is circulated by the filtration system. The system incorporates full drain down of the feature at night, when the park is shut, the capacity of the underground holding tank was designed for normal operation and storage of the pool water during shutdown, however full bypass and control is included to allow filtration and treatment of the stored water during this period.
